dashTHIRTYdash Grant Application

Any Times-Picayune employee or contractor who is losing his or her job because of the newspaper’s decision to end daily publication is eligible to receive a cash grant from dashTHIRTYdash.

To receive a grant, click on this link - dashTHIRTYdash_GrantApplication - and complete the attached form and IRS W-9 form and return it by email or fax as indicated. Unfortunately, you must print out the completed application and either fax it, or scan it and return it by email. There is no way to submit the application online.

We plan to have two distributions of money to all applicants. Applications for receiving grants in the first distribution must be received by Oct. 10, 2012; the deadline for the second distribution is Dec. 1, 2012. If you applied for the first grant, you already should have been contacted about steps you need to take if you also want to receive a grant in the second distribution.

What was the Timespicayune to me! At first in 1981 it was a Job for a young man starting out in life, but as I grew I could see a company like know other. One with a pulse. With so much of its city New Orleans living, working, growing, sharing hard and good times together. Now after 31 years of service I. Am ask to leave a place I would never given up on has did just that to its devoted employees. What does this say to the world? We know what it is saying to us.
